St. Louis Federal Safety and Health Council

The federal safety councils are established by 29 CFR 1960 as a means to “facilitate the exchange of ideas and information to assist agencies to reduce the incidence, severity and cost of occupational accidents, injuries, and illnesses.” Members include full-time safety and health personnel, employees with collateral duty safety and health responsibilities, and union representatives. Besides federal agencies, local organizations such as the City of St. Louis and the Safety Council of Greater St. Louis participate as associate members.
