It’s time to begin preparation to participate in the KC RICE-SLICE ’17.

The annual Continuity exercise sponsored by the Kansas City and Greater St. Louis FEBs.

 

 

COOP EXERCISE DATE:  Wednesday, 26 July 2017

COOP REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Friday, 2 June 2017

HOTWASH LOCATION:  Thomas Eagleton U.S. Federal Courthouse, 111 s. 10th St.  St. Louis, MO 63102

The KC RICE/SLICE registration form is fillable and should be returned to Mr. David Teska, FEMA Region VII, Regional Continuity Manager, once completed at: david.teska2@fema.dhs.gov

Please note the questions regarding the number of sites you will exercise from during this exercise. Each alternate site/Continuity Facility and telework locations counts as a site.

EXAMPLE: If you have 20 employees with 5 exercising at the Continuity Facility and 15 teleworking at home, you have 20 employees at 16 sites.

The Greater St. Louis Federal Executive Board is hosting a Pre-Retirement Seminar for Federal Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) at the Robert A. Young Federal Building in downtown St. Louis.

This event is FREE to attend but you must register in order to reserve your seat.  Seating is limited to you plus one additional guest (spouse or significant other).

Six Core Competencies of Leadership Training @ Goodfellow Complex

Your St. Louis Federal Executive Board is honored to be hosting a two day leadership training program facilitated by Mr. Jerry Strom.  Jerry has provided a myriad of leadership trainings to thousands of our agency colleagues across the US.  We now have the opportunity to host Jerry for two days of great leadership training in St. Louis for the very first time.  

This dynamic Leadership Development Series is a proven training program for the next generation of federal leaders. Programmed to enhance the developmental pathway of all employees – including managers, supervisors, and executives – this course addresses two-thirds of the Leadership Skills identified within OPM’s five ‘Executive Core Qualifications’ needed for success in government service.

The Greater St. Louis Federal Executive Board, in partnership with the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (TSP), the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, Social Security Administration, and the Office of Personnel Management, are hosting a one day seminar titled, “What’s in Your Retirement Wallet?”

This 8 hour session is specifically designed to educate military personnel directly impacted by the Blended Retirement System and civilan government employees new to federal service (1-5 years of service).

Over the course of the 8 hours, you will hear from experts from various agencies on the following topics:

  • Thrift Savings Plan  
  • Investing outside the TSP
  • BRS and FERS retirement overview, and
  • Social Security Benefits overview
